More Guild Wars work...

Sorry for the amount of old stuff, but it's new to the internet. I've been trying to finish that skatedeck, but it's a big file and my 7 year old computer can't handle it. Adding a layer takes 5 minutes. Also I'm watching season four of The Wire. Billy Wardlaw got me into it several years ago, and I've come to believe it's the best thing on tv, maybe that has ever been on tv. Anyway, some more Gwen work.

Skate deck frustration...

Man this thing is killing me. I've started it soooo many times, but keep failing. Decided to go pencil and work digital from there. Some 'meeting' sketches (meetings were more fun when I was less involved ;)), and some quick fella's along with a type treatment from last night. Hopefully I'll wrap this up soon.

More sketches...

Going to change up the witch. The long head facing away was the original head. Going to extend the body and cloth her.

Aagogblog

I messed up my next skate deck, and needed to take a cool down break. I ended up drawing a Lovecraft like thing that was inspired from a piece by Billy George. Actually this piece. Oh well, I failed. Still fun to do. I feel like I'm slowly getting back some of my traditional skills. Taking longer than I thought.

On a side note, I get accused a lot for drawing phallic things. I'm starting to think I do...

More Guild Wars art...

Have not had the time for new art, and might be awhile for some, so here's some more GW art.

Octo Elephant station...

Took a break from the skate decks I'm working on. Needed to clear my head. On the plus side. I get to use Microsoft Excel (sp?) a lot lately! Wait...that sucks.

TV Night 2

Guild Wars Eye of the North

Some work from the recent expansion. I wish I could show my current work, but it'll have to wait.

I'm super duper jazzed with the blog right now. After my last pencil sketches (which are incredibly bad the more I look at them) I've had some amazing artist posting and commenting on my blog. I think a big part of it is John Nevarez hooking me up with a link on his blog. I've had some of my favorite artists stop by and say very positive things. It's like being invited to the cool kids lunch table in school. It's come at a good time too.

I was feeling hopeless again. Art's like the girlfriend you love but that constantly hurts you. You're never good enough for her, but when she smiles, or you're together, there's nothing better in the world.

I won!

My first non art post. Hopefully the last, but I was a winner on the Tekkon Kinkreet contest at AICN. Not the best entry, but not a bad prize for a couple of hours on a weeknight. Not to mention I've recently had some of my heroes post comments and send e-mail on my last blog entry. Shaping up to be a great week!

Pencil Sketches...

Got inspired by Armand Serrano's work. Looks horrible, but was fun to do.
