Holy nerdhorns Batman! So I'm going geek over this new monster movie. There's a contest to win shirts and stuff at another forum; just come up with your version of the monster and how you think the story will play out. I thought it'd be fun. I wanted something cool, that matched the roar you hear (it seemed a bit sad and whale-ish to me ((Here's the roar: Eeeeeeoooooooorooooooooo!)), but still had some of the campiness of a Godzilla monster. I thought giant whale lice would be perfect for attacking the citizens while the biggy stomps New York.

On a side note, I think I'm totally into this, because I have no idea what it is. I'm so tired of figuring out a movie from the teaser, and never being wrong. This time...there's nothing to go on. The movie will probably suck, because it can never live up to the hype, but man what a great teaser that was. I think it took them by surprise.

You should know that your drawing has been posted many times in the Aint-it-cool news talkbacks. A lot of people are believing that this illustration is real art from the film. Congrats to you on such a fine illustration. I'm an illustrator myself, and I think you've done a fine job.

If this isn`t a movie monster, it should be!

I believe this to be an actual leaked illustration of the Cloverfield monster/monsters and you are trying to cover it up by claiming you drew it.

I'm really surprised there's not a million something comments on this as I've been searching the internet for the past twenty minutes trying to find out the origins of the drawing.

Anyways, it's awesome... and I like your newest WIP (I should probably be leaving this comment on that entry) and I was wondering if you would or have released a tutorial on how you do your work?

I would have Loved to see your huge, clumsy whale-monster stomping, flailing, whip-tailing a path of destruction through the skyscrapers of NYC.

This is my new favorite monster drawing! I was seriously disappointed that this wasn't the real Cloverfield monster. I also can't help but wonder if Abrams swiped your idea for whale lice or if it was just one of those crazy coincidences.

Keep up the good work!

Wow! Do you know that most korean
believe monster of movie is your work? At first, I believed too.

First of all, I love your work! You are a pretty amazing artist!

I had idea for an anime that had a character with a design very similar to this one you just posted.

In fact, your design is much superior to mine.

Any chance you can allow me to use this design in the anime?

So far I am only organizing it and adding details, and it probably won't be pitched for a couple of years, but I'd still like to ask you early on just in case.

What do you say? Please contact me at Yadowspicky@yahoo.com
